Accessible through a gate inscribed "Hoyo de Monterrey. Jose Gener. 1960." on the main square, this plantation is situated in a low-lying position along the San Juan y Martinez river, as indicated by the term "Hoyo," meaning "hole."
Founded by Jose Gener, a Spaniard from Tarragona, in 1865, the Hoyo de Monterrey brand carries the legacy of its vega's name. The blend of Hoyo de Monterrey is known for its delicate yet aromatic profile, offering a lighter taste with remarkable elegance and complexity, making it an appealing choice for aficionados.
