A late special edition release, limited to 5000 numbered boxes of 10 made exclusively for La Casa del Habano franchises. The size selected for the production is based on an Edmundo and is highly respected by Habanos connoisseurs across the globe.

H. UPMANN
Herman Upmann was a banker from Germany who so loved Cuban cigars that he moved to Havana in 1844 and set up as both banker and cigar maker. His bank closed in the early 1920's but his cigars live on as a fine example of an elegant,light to medium flavoured Habano. 

H. Upmann's blend is composed exclusively of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone. 

Gold medals in no less than eleven international exhibitions during the 19th Century can be found on the brand's labelled boxes.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure De Luxe LCDH

Hoyo de Monterrey is one of the most historic Habanos brands. Hoyo de Monterrey owes its origin to the town of San Juan y Martinez, which lies at the heart of the Vuelta Abajo tobacco zone in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Here the Hoyo de Monterrey plantation, one of the great Vegas de Primera , can be reached through a gate on the town’s main square inscribed “Hoyo de Monterrey, José Gener. 1860”.

The flavour of Hoyo de Monterrey‘s blend makes it an attractive choice for those who seek a delicate yet aromatic Habano that is lighter to the taste but with great elegance and complexity. The brand is renowned for its Double Corona  and for the range of medium and slender gauge vitolas known as the “Le Hoyo” series. There is also the prestigious Epicure Series, the No. 1 and No. 2 , to which the longer Epicure Especial was added in 2008. Now the Epicure de Luxe is added to the Epicure Series in this special production for La Casa del Habano.

All sizes are, “Totalmente a mano tripa larga” – totally handmade, long filler – using filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo  tobacco zone. The factory name selected for this special production is Mágicos (ring Gauge 52 x 115 mm in length) is highly appreciated by Habanos smokers, that will now have the occasion to enjoy it within the Hoyo de Monterrey brand with its own features of flavour and aroma. Each box of this special production contains 10 Epicure de Luxe in a slide-lid box. All Habanos have been produced by skillfull rollers in Cuba’s factories. Habanos S.A. has announced a new cigar that will carry a special secondary band marking them as exclusive releases for both Habanos Specialist and La Casa del Habano (LCDH) stores.

The Partagás Aliados measures 6 7/12 (167mm) x 45, a vitola known as Delirios. Like many of the other new Cuban cigars announced this week, it is a new vitola for the Cuban cigar world. The Aliados will be offered in 20-count boxes, which Habanos S.A. describes as “special cabinets.”

The Bolívar Gold Medal will be returning to La Casa del Habano (LCDH) stores around the world, but it won’t be the same Bolívar Gold Medal as before.

Habanos S.A. has announced that the Bolívar New Gold Medal will be available exclusively to LCDH stores. It’s a size known as the Partagás 15, 6 1/2 (165mm) x 48. That’s the same length as the original Gold Medal, but the ring gauge has increased from 42 ring gauge.

Like the previous Gold Medal, the cigar is covered in golden foil that begins at the top of the cigar and the Bolívar band is placed over the foil at the bottom of the foil. A red LCDH band is placed below that. It will be offered in 10-count boxes.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the La Casa del Habano franchise, and Habanos S.A. has announced an exclusive cigar for the worldwide network of Cuban cigar retailers.

The Juan Lopez Selección Especial measures 6 7/10 inches long (170mm) with a 52 ring gauge, a double robusto vitola known as the Fortunas.

Punch Punch 48 LCDH is made from the best leaves in Vuelta Abajo and exclusive to La Casa Del Habano. Packs with lots of flavours. A beautiful cigar.

The Partagas Culebras Cigar LCDH is a completely unique cuban cigar produced exclusively for Habanos as part of their La Casa Del Habano Editions. It comes in a twisted shape – making it a peculiar looking smoke.

Culebras is the Spanish word for snake – looking at the appearance of this smoke, the name is fitting! The story goes that they formed this shape to prevent employees from selling to the black market – however, this is hearsay! We’ll never know the true story behind this shape, it makes a great story to tell the friends your smoking with nonetheless.

Generally free of combustion or draw issues, this cigar will provide a smooth, full-flavoured smoke. 

La Gloria Cubana Inmensos LCDH 2014 is limited to 5,000 boxes exclusive to La Casa del Habano. Medium strength, beautifully crafted.

The size known as a Verona in the factories of Cuba is an entirely new vitola within the Habanos portfolio with the factory name a nod to the location of Shakespeare’s play about two star-crossed lovers.

Presented in stylish lacquered boxes, the cigars are long-filler handmade using tobacco harvested from Vuelta Abajo in the Pinar Del Rio region of Cuba. They are blended to match the subtle, rounded, medium bodied aromas that has made Romeo y Julieta one of the world’s most accessible and loved cigar brands.
