The Cigar:

This 2017 release from Quai D'Orsay offers smokers a lighter alternative in a popular size, and comes dressed in a new band that is destined to become standard across the range. 

About the Brand: 

This brand owes its origin to the refined taste of the French market. Created in the 1970’s, the name is taken from a well-known street in Paris beside the River Seine.

Although the current range is small, all Quai d’Orsay sizes are made with a distinctive light tasting blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone and its wrappers are mainly distinguished by their Claro (light brown) and Colorado Claro (mid brown) colours.

All sizes are ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade.

Partagas Serie D No.5 (D5)

The Cigar:

Following the success of a limited edition version of this size in 2008 the Serie D No.5 joined the ranks of Partagas’s standard sizes in 2011. Its tobacco leaves are selected and aged according to the normal criteria for the brand.
