The Camacho Criollo is a spin on the taste profile of modern day Cuban cigars. Sporting a Honduran-grown, fourth priming wrapper packed with unique, peppery flavor. While the Criollo is dialed back a degree in intensity, it delivers a powerful burst of signature Camacho taste.
The Camacho Connecticut is the perfect smoke for those craving something "milder-mannered", but don't want to sacrifice flavor. This is boldness meets balance. All the rich, deep flavor and spicy kick you'd expect from Camacho, without the knock-down power. If the name of the game is big flavor and smooth enjoyment, then the Camacho Connecticut's got you covered.
Once one of the largest cigars available, this gentle giant now cuts a decidedly elegant and refined figure. It is at heart a polished cigar full of charm and grace. A wonderful way to celebrate Britain’s most famous cigar smoker.
FLAVOUR: Medium to Full VITOLA: Julieta No.2 RING GAUGE: 47 LENGTH: 7 Inches / 178mm
For many people the Epicure No.2 is a long-established favourite and a popular ‘turn to’ cigar. So it is perhaps a little surprising it has taken so long to see the first Hoyo Reserva. On the evidence so far from its delayed appearance in 2018, it has been well worth the wait.
FLAVOUR: Light to Medium VITOLA: Robusto RING GAUGE: 50 LENGTH: 4 7/8 Inches / 124mm
Considered one of the truly great smokes in modern times, the Lusitania is a benchmark Havana cigar for many aficionados. This release does not disappoint. Sophistication and nuance have been added to the formidable and fiery reputation this cigar rightly owns.
FLAVOUR: Full VITOLA: Prominente RING GAUGE: 49 LENGTH: 7 5/8 Inches / 194mm
The Partagás Lusitania, Gran Reserva has been released in the UK and is available throughout the network of Havana Cigar Specialists.
This extremely limited production cigar comes in 5,000 lacquered boxes containing 15 cigars (only 75,000 cigars have been produced for the global market). The blend has been devised by Arnaldo Bichot, the master blender at the Partagás Cigar Factory. The wrapper, binder and filler leaves were harvested in 2007 and then subjected to a long and thorough aging process.
The 2007 harvest actually began in December 2006 and finished in March 2007. Each of the five types of leaf used to make this cigar (three in the filler, one for the binder and the last for the wrapper) underwent the standard curing, sorting, fermentation and classification processes that take up to twelve months to complete. Then they were packed into bales to mature gradually during the last nine months of 2008, all of 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, and the first three months of 2013.
The idea of special productions of Cuban cigars made from aged leaves is not new. Ediciones Limitadas, first released in 2000 were originally dressed in wrappers that had been aged for two years, rather than the standard six months. Since 2007 all of the tobaccos used in these cigars, including filler and binder, have been aged for two years.
The start of 2004 saw the release of the first Reserva, the Cohiba Selección Reserva, a selection of five different vitolas that had been produced using tobaccos that had been aged for three years. Since then there have been three more Reserva releases, each in 5,000 numbered boxes of 20 cigars, 100,000 cigars in total. 2005 saw the release of the Partagás Serie D No. 4, 2007 the Montecristo No. 4 and 2012) saw the introduction of the Romeo y Julieta Churchill (released in 2013).
To date there has only been two previous Gran Reservas. 2009 saw the launch of the Cohiba Siglo VI Gran Reserva, then in 2011 it was the turn of the Montecristo No.2 (released in 2012). Now, in 2013 the Partagás Lusitania assumes its rightful place in this exalted canon
Released in 2010, the Wide Churchill has come a long way in a short pace of time. Nowhere is that better demonstrated than with the decision to honour the vitola with a Gran Reserva release, after only five years in the standard Habanos portfolio.
FLAVOUR: Medium VITOLA: Montesco RING GAUGE: 55 LENGTH: 5 1/4 Inches / 130mm
Named after one of the greatest Britons to have ever lived who was also one of the world's most famous cigar smokers. This august cigar carries the weight of responsibility with grace and charm. A cigar that reaches its full potential in gentle waves rather than a tsunami.
FLAVOUR: Light to Medium VITOLA: Julieta No.2 RING GAUGE: 47 LENGTH: 7 Inches / 178mm
It is very unusual for a Partagas within the ‘Serie D’ range to have anything other than a 50 ring gauge. The original Serie D No.3, from the 1930’s, would have been 5 ½” x 50. However, whatever the name, the second Limited Edition release from Partagas was a feisty, full flavoured and intense smoke.
FLAVOUR: Full VITOLA: Corona Gorda RING GAUGE: 46 LENGTH: 5 5/8 Inches / 143mm
It could be said that this cigar is an antecedent to the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill, a 2006 release and fellow Robusto size. From the Short Churchill came the Wide Churchill and then followed the Petit Churchill. An interesting footnote in the emergence of the Churchill linea.
FLAVOUR: Medium VITOLA: Robusto RING GAUGE: 50 LENGTH: 4 7/8 Inches / 124mm
An exceptionally well-balanced and rewarding cigar that delivers the medium to full bodied flavour associated with the Linea Classica, but is framed with a sweet top-taste from the aged wrapper. A delicious hour and a quarter of smoking pleasure.
FLAVOUR: Medium to Full VITOLA: Prominente RING GAUGE: 49 LENGTH: 7 5/8 Inches / 194mm
Such a stir was created by this cigar that plans were quickly put in place to introduce it to the standard H. Upmann range. Just three years after its original introduction the Magnum 50 joined the Magnum 46 in the standard portfolio. The heavy girth adds a rich texture to the classic H. Upmann taste.
FLAVOUR: Light to Medium VITOLA: Magnum 50 RING GAUGE: 50 LENGTH: 6 1/4 Inches / 161mm
This is a remaking of one of the original Limited Editions from 2000. Full of ‘tangy’ Montecristo flavour in what has become the World’s most popular Havana cigar size. In 2009 the Montecristo Robusto was revisited once again when the lighter styled Montecristo Open Master was introduced to the standard portfolio.
FLAVOUR: Medium to Full VITOLA: Robusto RING GAUGE: 50 LENGTH: 4 7/8 Inches / 124mm
Reminiscent of the 2010 Partagas Serie D Especial this was a very full-flavoured cigar when first released. It has had the benefit of a few years maturation and has settled down somewhat. However, it remains a robust, spicy and earthy smoke.
FLAVOUR: Full VITOLA: C No.3 RING GAUGE: 48 LENGTH: 5 1/2 Inches / 140mm
This was an entirely new size within the Habanos portfolio and was created to commemorate the 520th anniversary of the arrival of the Habano in Europe following Christopher Columbus’s discovery of Cuba in 1492. Montecristo was a fitting brand to choose given that it was and still is the best selling premium cigar brand today.
FLAVOUR: Medium to Full VITOLA: Maravillas No.3 RING GAUGE: 55 LENGTH: 6 1/8 Inches / 155mm
The wide girth of the Serie D’Oro No. 2, combined with the tapered end of this “Campana” sized cigar creates the ideal foil for the clear and distinguished “woody” Punch taste. This then helps to reveal some of the more robust aspects of the brand that are often overlooked.
FLAVOUR: Medium VITOLA: Campana RING GAUGE: 52 LENGTH: 5 1/2 Inches / 140mm
An eye-catching, blockbuster of a cigar that has a subtlety and nuance in the blend that belies its shape. A hugely popular cigar from the minute it arrived in the UK and with a 58 ring gauge, remains the widest Limited Edition ever produced.
FLAVOUR: Medium to Full VITOLA: Magnifico RING GAUGE: 58 LENGTH: 5 Inches / 127mm
Not strictly a Limited Edition as the tobaccos are not aged in the same way, the cigars are not dressed with maduro wrappers and they are not adorned with the second band. Nonetheless it is a fantastic cigar and a great way to mark the 80th anniversary of the world’s most popular Havana brand. This cigar is already a collector’s item and is, unusually, presented in boxes of 20.
FLAVOUR: Medium to Full VITOLA: 80 Aniversario RING GAUGE: 55 LENGTH: 6 ½ Inches / 165mm
A toothsome yet also somewhat rustic cigar that has its bold full flavoured bend expertly tempered by its bitter sweet wrapper. Adorned with a specially created second band bearing the name of the cigar.
FLAVOUR: Full VITOLA: Club Allones RING GAUGE: 47 LENGTH: 5 ⅜ Inches / 135mm
A marked difference in shape from recent Limited Editions from Montecristo and, although it still has a ring gauge of 48, it has a decidedly slender feel to it. Nonetheless, all of the peppery tang associated with the brand very much remain in place.
FLAVOUR: Medium to Full VITOLA: Hermoso No.1 RING GAUGE: 48 LENGTH: 6 ⅝ Inches / 167mm
Only the second time that Punch has been chosen for a Limited Edition. This relatively short cigar is presented in SLB boxes of 25 and delivers the classic medium-bodied aromas loved by fans of the brand.
FLAVOUR: Medium VITOLA: Hermoso Especial RING GAUGE: 48 LENGTH: 4 ¾ Inches / 120mm
This relatively small Limited Edition cigar is the 5th time H. Upmann brand been selected to be part of this prestigious series, dating back to the launch of the concept in the year 2000. Light to Medium in body and full of elegance and charm, most smokers agree that this is a cigar that will continue to improve over the years.
FLAVOUR: Light to Medium VITOLA: Mareva Gruesa RING GAUGE: 46 LENGTH: 4 3/4 Inches / 120mm
The iconic gold band on this cigar was re-created from an original version dating back over a century. It is also the first UK Regional Edition to be adorned with the instantly recognisable silver and red second band denoting the regional market it is destined to be sold in. A much sought after cigar today.

El Rey Del Mundo Choix de L'Epoque UK Regional 2009 - EMS
El Rey Del Mundo Choix de L'Epoque UK Regional 2009
Choix de L'Epoque in English means "Choice of the Age", an appropriate name given when the relatively new indoor smoking ban had just been put in place. Intended for connoisseurs to enjoy when time is limited and al fresco smoking is the only option
YEAR: 2009 FLAVOUR: Light to Medium VITOLA: Petit Edmundo RING GAUGE: 52 LENGTH: 4 3/8 Inches / 110mm
Inspired by the short-live handmade Flor de Canos produced between 1988 and 1992 and in particular the legendary "short Churchill'. This cigar was a phenomenal success and great lengths were taken to faithfully recreate not only the original blend but also the original packaging, complete with the signature green ink hots tamp on the box
YEAR: 2010 FLAVOUR: Medium VITOLA: Petit Robusto RING GAUGE: 50 LENGTH: 4 Inches / 102mm
Por Larranage Regalias de Londres UK Regional 2010 - EMS
Por Larranage Regalias de Londres UK Regional 2010
The second offering from Por Larranaga 'Regalias de Londres' translates into English as 'Gifts from London'. However, the world 'Regalias' has another particular meaning that related only to Cuban cigars. From the 1850s and 1860s Havana's cigar manufactures used it to describe cigars of the highest quality. This proved to be the case in this instance and the 'gifts' quickly disappeared.
